Hi! A lot of us love music, but some of us don't know how much Classical music is a pillar for the genres we know and love today, even for jazz, despite having some rules of its own. Music is just as important as sports, and having programs in pre-k and secondary institutions is an important foundation for growth. Being in music programs have proved that kids do well in other subjects, and build confidence.
I think some of the reasons some people don't pursue further post graduation is because of bad teachers, not enough money, and probably pressure from parents to do music, even if they never had instrest in doing it. I think we should find as many methods as possible to appeal the benifits of music to the younger people, and help them reach more opportunities whether it's in theather, an orchestra, or give more scholarships to colleges.
